Grace Nursery School 2024-2025 Class Offerings

Two X Two and Pre-Nursery Classes

Stories, songs and finger plays develop early language skills while reinforcing beginning socialization skills such as following directions, sharing and taking turns. Colors, shapes and counting are introduced through fine motor activities including coloring, painting, gluing, play dough and puzzles. For enrollment in our Two X Two class, a child must be 2 years old by October 1st, 2024 and for enrollment in our Pre-Nursery classes, a child must be 2 years old by June 30th, 2024.

Nursery Classes

Children who are three years of age are invited to our Nursery Classes. Social skills continue to be emphasized through cooperative play and both independent and guided centers. Beginning math activities such as counting and number recognition, sorting and patterning are introduced through handson experiences with manipulatives. Early literacy skills in the Nursery Class include name recognition and introduction to letters.To enroll in our Nursery Classes, a child must be 3 years old by October 1st, 2024.

Pre Kindergarten and Pre Kindergarten Plus Classes

Pre KindergartenStudents who are 4 years of age participate in our Pre Kindergarten program. Kindergarten readiness is emphasized as children gain responsibility and independence in the classroom. Emergent literacy skills and beginningmathematics concepts are important components of the curriculum. Children work cooperatively in groups, individually with teachers and independently.Pre Kindergarten PlusOur Pre-K Plus program offers an exciting enrichment opportunity for those seeking an extra dose of hands-on learning and fun! This interactive class integrates social-emotional learning, science, social studies, math, early literacy, phonics, and beginning writing skills. Classes are crafted to improve fine and gross motor abilities, social skills, concentration, and teamwork. Our experienced educators use a holistic approach to our curriculum ensuringchildren are prepared both academically and socially for kindergarten. Children will build their self-esteem, while their creativity and curiosity are nurtured. Each day, children will explore new concepts through a variety of projects, books, games, songs, movement, and activities. Our Pre-K classes are for students ages 4 and 5. To enroll in these classes, the child must be 4 years old by October 1st, 2024.
